1080 PUNCH-UPS
Interactive video facade projection on the 33-meter wide punch card
building IBM headquarter in the 70's. 1080 PUNCHUPS happened at the
100th anniversary celebration of the Futurism movement (event in Los
Angeles).
Interaction description:
Visitors walk, stand or move around a designated interactive area in
the public place, the system detects the movements and based on these
it combines words on the facade. The words are retrieved from a
database made out of the text of Futurist Manifesto published in 1909
on Le Figaro.
The narrative is articulated around two acts, an interactive one and a
static one.
The second act is a trompe d'oeil created around the
architectural projection mapping of the facade.
The computer vision system is based on fluXsensi developed at http://www.mediars.eu
